Who is the ‘Manchurian Candidate?’

THE discredited talking heads of the country’s elite and their American overlord (read: US Imperialism) like former SC associate justice Antonio Carpio and PNoy’s US ambassador, Albert del Rosario, have warned us about former senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong/BBM’ Marcos Jr., being China’s ‘Manchurian Candidate’ in the coming May 9, 2022 elections.

This, after BBM and his family have been photographed mingling with the members and officials of the Chinese Communist Party who paid them a courtesy call several months back.

But what about it then? It is a historical fact that it was the Marcoses, particularly Ferdinand Senior and First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, who are instrumental in our opening of diplomatic relationship with Communist China in 1975. And if the Chinese Communist Party wants to complement the Marcoses for the success of their initiative, must it be taken away from them, especially now that only the China is helping us survive the severe economic impact of the pandemic by accommodating our products in its domestic market?

Pres. Marcos and the First Lady are also personal friends of US Pres. Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy. But why are they not flaying BBM for being America’s ‘Manchurian Candidate’ too?

Of course, we are no longer surprised to see Carpio, Del Rosario, the entire Dilawans and their CPP partners, coming out with all sorts of accusations, no matter how incredible, ridiculous or laughable against BBM. It is called, “desperation,” especially when they have a candidate like Vice President Leni Robredo.

Too, we are being warned that China “might” interfere in the coming elections, a claim that has no basis in fact and is actually intended to hide America’s continuing interference in our domestic affairs since they double-crossed Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo in 1898—a total of 124 years now.

In that length of time, we have suffered several double-crosses and humiliations in the hands of US Imperialism. Worse, our educational system and upbringing have been skewed and distorted to like and support anything American that we ended today with public officials like Carpio and Del Rosario—to them, our interests and that of Uncle Sam are always, one and the same. If America “hates” China, we should too.

So, who is really a foreign power’s Manchurian Candidate in our presidential election this May? In short, who is Uncle Sam’s choice to handle our national affairs on its behalf?

Clearly, it is not BBM because he has shown an independence of mind when it comes to foreign policy that is hateful to the Americans and their local agents here. He can never be their ‘muchacho’ president, everyone can agree to this.

Insofar as we are concerned, everyone else running in the election this May, except for BBM, are all American candidates—Robredo, Isko Moreno, Ping Lacson, Manny Pacquiao, heck, even “labor leader” Leody de Guzman, thru his association with the CPP.

Note that except for BBM, all of these candidates are mouthing the official propaganda line of the US Embassy, the Pentagon and the State Department, especially on foreign policy, a clear indication they have fallen for the ‘American spell.’

Yes, Jose, colonial mentality in favor of America remains as strong today in the ranks of our public officials as it was more than 100 years ago.

And have we not seen how some of them are even assiduous in seeking the support of the United States for their candidacy, as shown in their “visits” and “dialogues” with US Embassy officials? Heck, they are even proud to post in their social media pages and their press releases their treasonous actions this early. Yet, Carpio and Del Rosario are silent.

Woe to us that in this coming election, there is no single Manchurian Candidate representing US interests here.

There are a bunch of them.
