Blame must fall on Western Imperialism over Ukraine
ENTERING its second week of targeted military operation in Eastern Ukraine, the Western media has its hand full in trying to dictate the narrative on what is really happening there or why Russia was forced to act the way it did when Russian President Vladimir Putin announced last February 24, 2022, the start of Russia’s ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine, a ‘country’ that is worth stressing is as Russian as the ‘Muscovites’ of Moscow are.
What is stark clear is that from the daily, nay, hourly, ‘news’ broadcasts and narratives everyone is getting from the Western press is the apparent, deliberate, removal of why Russia resorted to the use of force in settling its dispute with Ukraine and Western Imperialism.
Go, look for yourself, dear readers. Is the Western press, still informing us about the enumerated reasons that Pres. Putin has been repeating at least since December 2021, when he asked the West (read: US Imperialism) to give a “written guaranty” about Russia’s national security?
Too, the Western press has made a ‘hero’ out of Pres. Volodmyr Zelensky of Ukraine for his defiant posture against Russia, even romanticizing him as a ‘David’ battling a Goliath that is the Russian military.
No longer being mentioned is the fact that Zelensky is a certified puppet of Western Imperialism who would rather see his country suffer and be destroyed instead of agreeing to Russia’s very reasonable demand that Ukraine should maintain its neutrality, not join NATO or allow Ukraine to be a military base of America for its aggression against Russia.
What does these types of bogus journalism suggest? That the Western press, as the most powerful representative of Western Imperialism, is complicit in burying the truth about the reasons behind Russia’s military decision.
The situation is best illustrated during the meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss last February 10, 2022, a meeting that Lavrov described as between a “mute and the deaf,” as Truss would not listen to what he was saying and merely went on to threaten him and Russia of “severe sanctions” should Russia forced its issue with Ukraine militarily.
“We appear to be listening but not hearing anything,” Lavrov said, adding: “Our detailed explanation fell on unprepared ground.”
And this is the same situation we are seeing today, insofar as the Ukraine narrative is concerned. The Russian side has been simply ignored.
On the other hand, NATO/US Imperialism also continue to refuse to give Russia a security guarantee nor would it honor its previous commitment, after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, that it would not move into Eastern Europe “even by an inch.”
This has not happened and sadly, will not likely happen since the powerful Western media and their imperialist governments have buried such facts in the avalanche of distorted news that we are seeing today.

After egging Ukraine against Russia, the “best” that Western Imperialism can offer is not its soldiers, but more military equipment to Ukraine. From Washington to London to Canberra, they are prioritizing military aid to Ukraine instead of food and other humanitarian assistance.
Except for China, Western Imperialism too is blocking any effort by Russia and Ukraine to finally resolve their differences peacefully.
This can only mean a longer war, more devastations for Ukraine and more suffering for its people.
In other words, we should not be surprised if soon enough, Ukraine turned into a wasteland like what happened to Afghanistan, after over 40 years of US interference and intervention or the cities of Kiev and Kharkov, during World War 2, when the Soviet Union turned the table against the Nazis and started their westward drive towards Berlin.
If another humanitarian disaster occurred in Ukraine, it would be false to blame this on Russia. The blame falls squarely on the shoulder and conscience of the West and their Overlord, US Imperialism.
