SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, called on demonstrators and those protesting the result of the election on the dubious accusation of ‘massive cheating’ to uphold the sanctity of the elections and respect the results that came after.

In an interview after in Davao City, Go also reminded voters to choose candidates who can continue the many good legacies of the Duterte administration.

Go made the remarks after followers of Vice President Leni Robredo coming from the front organizations of the Communist Party based in Manila started their protest actions in front of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), claiming the defeat of Robredo based on the partial and unofficial counts of the votes cast was a result of “cheating.”

Go reminded that everyone must learn to respect the elections’ results.

With President Duterte’s term coming to an end officially by noon of June 30, 2022, Go assured Filipinos that as a lawmaker, he will continue the efforts of the current administration in providing a safer and more comfortable life for all.

Iyon lang naman ang inaasam namin ni Pangulong Duterte, ipagpatuloy ninyo ‘yung magagandang programa to make life safer and more comfortable para sa mga Pilipino,” said Go, his appeal directed to former senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong/BBM’ Marcos Jr, and his running mate, Davao City mayor, Sara Duterte, the daughter of Pres. Duterte.

The partial and unofficial counts of the votes as of the morning of May 10, 2022, showed that Marcos and Duterte are headed for a landslide victory, with their lead over their opponents already more than 100 percent and 300 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, following a number of reported election-related violence, including a strafing incident in Buluan, Maguindanao which killed three people, Go urged the COMELEC law enforcement officers, and the military to investigate the reports and bring justice to the victims.
