Sison now brands BBM as another US ‘puppet’
Accuses Pres. Duterte of instigating a "fake landslide" for BBM, Sara Duterte
ALTHOUGH President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong/BBM’ Marcos Jr., is yet to be formally sworn into office, Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder, Jose Maria Sison, has already set the tone for the political and propaganda agenda of the local communist terrorist movement.
Without proffering any evidence, Sison claimed that Marcos would just “obey everything” the United States wants even as he also accuses Pres. Duterte, also without showing any evidence, of being “frightened” by the threat of a US-backed regime change into using his administration to commit massive electoral fraud for the benefit of Marcos and his daughter, Vice-President elect, Sara Duterte.
Based on the transcript of Sison’s interview with University of the Philippines (UP) professor, Sarah Raymundo last May 15, 2022, Sison injected the notion that Marcos and Duterte owed their victory in the May 9, 2022, national and local elections not to the Filipino electorate but, to Pres. Duterte’s use of his presidential power “to carry out the dirtiest and most blatant fraud.”
A quick browse at the Internet described Raymundo, a Sociology professor, as having a previous dispute with the UP administration over the denial of her application for ‘tenureship’ at the UP’s Sociology Department in 2008.
An Internet blogsite favorable to Raymundo revealed that her tenureship was declined because she was accused of “being a recruiter of students for the underground movement.”
The same blogsite also described her as the national treasurer of the ‘Alliance of Concerned Teachers’ (ACT), which has been identified by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) as among the front organizations of the CPP in the academe. (see this link: Tenure for Prof. Sarah Raymundo (tenureforsarahraymundo.blogspot.com).
In a 1987 video clip, Sison himself acknowledged that ACT is one of the CPP’s “legal democratic forces” in the Philippines.
That Sison is aware of his interviewer’s background is revealed by his “patriotic greetings” to Raymundo. “Warmest patriotic greetings to you Prof. Raymundo and all our countrymen,” Sison begun.
In the interview, Sison cited the report of ‘Kontra Daya,’ purportedly an independent election watchdog, that the May 9 polls “is the dirtiest in the history of the Philippines.”
“Various methods were used to commit fraud: vote-buying, gross disinformation in social media, threats and preventing opposition voters from casting their votes and suspension of voting on the pretext that vote counting machines (VCMs), SD cards and optical scanners were malfunctioning,” Sison said.
“The worst thing that was done in order to give the Marcos-Duterte tandem and slate a fake landslide vote is to set aside the actual votes cast and use pre-shaded ballots which were fed into the vote counting machines after the voting precincts had closed,” said Sison, who merely relied on the reports of CPP operatives, “friends and other acquaintances” for his conclusions.
Sison claimed the reports he got were “in accord with the conclusions of Kontra Daya that these elections were the dirtiest and the most blatant fraud foisted on the people.”
“This is the reason why Marcos got an incredible 31 million votes with a 15 million advantage while the normal winning votes is 12 to 16 million and the winning margin over the closest rival in past elections was 2 to 5 million only,” he added.
Commenting on the congratulatory message sent by US Pres. Joe Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Marcos’ victory, Sison also claimed that Pres. Duterte and the US government are “complicit” in the election fraud that he, the CPP and the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo claimed took place.
Biden placed a personal call to Marcos on May 11, 2022, two days after poll results showed he is headed for a landslide victory.
“The US and (President) Duterte are complicit in the electoral fraud,” Sison claimed.
“Duterte was noticeably wooing the US one year before the elections. He got frightened by the threat of being ousted by the US through coup d’ etat if he was not subservient.
“The US and Duterte are sure that Marcos would obey everything the US dictates because of his criminal cases and liabilities in the US as a result of the successful human rights case against the Marcos estate in the 1990s,” Sison opined further.
Sison ended the interview with a call for his terrorist followers to “stay firm and militant in fighting the exploiting and oppressing classes and the oligarchs that reign in our society.”
