‘MJ-laden’ gummy candies seized at Clark

THE Port of Clark announced the discovery and seizure of a shipment of ‘cannabis-infused’ gummy candies and high-grade marijuana coming from New York, USA, declared as ‘sneakers’ that arrived last February 1, 2024.

Atty. Erastus ‘Dino’ Austria, district collector, said he immediately ordered the confiscation of the shipment after stringent examination by the assigned customs officers resulted to the discovery of some 40 grams of ‘Kush’ marijuana and 10 pouches of gummy candies infused with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Austria placed the value of the illicit shipment at P88,000.00.

No arrest has been made thus far and no identity of those behind the shipment has been released by the bureau.
