ANOTHER shipment of high-grade marijuana or ‘Kush’ has been seized by alert operatives of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) assigned at the Port of Clark,

In a belated statement, the BOC said the interdiction happened last January 27, involving 914 grams of Kush from Thailand valued at P1.371 million.

District Collector Jairus Reyes said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) earlier alerted them about the shipment that was declared as “Food Spices, Condiments, and Groceries.”

The shipment contained 26 packages with a powdery substance and four (4) packages with dried leaves and fruiting tops.

Samples taken and turned over to the PDEA for chemical analysis confirmed the substance as ‘tetrahydrocannabinol’ (THC) or marijuana, classified as a dangerous drug under Philippine laws.
