We need a patriot, not a puppet, in Washington

FRUSTRATED— and shamed by the electorate– in their desire to install another of their puppet in Malacañang with the overwhelming defeat of Vice President Leni Robredo during the May 9, 2022 polls, factions of the ruling class, their minions in the mainstream media, the terrorist bloc of Jose Maria Sison and their foreign Overlord, US Imperialism, are now scrambling to put into the Cabinet of President-elect, Ferdinand ‘Bongbong/BBM’ Marcos, their own kind in order to maintain their stranglehold on the country’s body politic.

And although President BBM (PBBM), has already announced some of his choices, it is significant that he has not yet named his choice for the Cabinet position that is of crucial importance in the days and years ahead—the Department of Foreign Affairs, DFA.

Whether he agrees with us that the DFA post is now the most important Cabinet post as we stated here– and which is probably why PBBM has not yet made up his mind– we can never know.

Regardless, it is crucial for him and his advisers to take note that already, the Dilawans, their media minions and some voices from Washington are already “selling the idea” that he should choose for the DFA post, Philippine Ambassador to Washington, Jose Manuel ‘Babes’ Romualdez.

But if PBBM truly has our nation’s best interest in mind, he should publicly torpedo the idea to immediately deflate the wish and the ego of Romualdez and his rah-rah boys (and girls).

Insofar as we are concerned, Romuladez, like his DFA boss, Secretary Teodoro ‘Teddy Boy’ Locsin, are shameless in their being “Americanistas.”

And being entirely beholden to their ‘Great White Father in Washington,’ Romualdez thus proved ineffective in his job of promoting our own interests in America.

For all his bootlicking, Romualdez, during the worst moments of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, has failed to procure the vaccines during the time we need them most—thankfully, there is our ambassador to  China, the late Amb. Chito Sta. Romana and the Chinese government– to rescue us from our helplessness.

It was a known fact that only after China has donated to us (given to us for free) over 2 million vaccines in early 2020 that the US, frantic of being left out from the good graces of Filipinos, agreed to send us their vaccines– but at commercial prices and yes, no thanks to Romualdez.

Increasingly too, Filipinos have become victims to racial hate crimes in America and pray, what has Romualdez and his being an Americanista, done to effectively solve this issue?

With the US now increasing its preparations for a war with China, the pressure is mounting for PBBM to appoint another of America’s running dogs like Romualdez to be our foreign affairs secretary.

PBBM should be wary. Such a choice would have tremendous, negative consequences for all Filipinos, not the least of which is our national security and economic growth.

If he is serious in following Pres. Duterte’s independent foreign policy where we are friend to all and enemy to no one, then the first qualification he should demand is for his appointee to be a patriot, first and foremost.

Pilipinas muna bago ang interes ng iba.
