ALERT officers of the Bureau of Customs at the Port of NAIA under Collector Atty. Yasmin Mapa, intercepted six inbound parcels of high-grade marijuana (‘Kush’) from Thailand at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.
Mapa, in her report to Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, said the discovery happened last February 6. during routine inspection of incoming parcels in coordination with the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG).
A total of 3.231 kilos of Kush was seized, with an estimated street value of P4,523,400.00 under different consignees, Mapa said.
It can be recalled that a day earlier, on February 5, more than 28 kilos of Kush worth more than P39 million from Thailand was also confiscated by the BOC at the Manila International Container Port (Pinoy Exposé, February 10, 2025).
