Customs shakes up 95 frontline positions at NAIA, POM

THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) initiated a widespread shake-up of its frontline units that affected a total of 95 positions at the Ninoy Aquino (NAIA) collection district and at the Port of Manila, effective today, September 28, 2020.

Under Customs Personnel Order (CPO) B-92-2020, 49 key posts at the arrival, departure and operations divisions at the NAIA were affected by the reshuffle.

On the other hand, CPO B-95-2020 covered 46 positions at the Formal Entry (FED), Informal Entry (IED) and at the Piers and Inspection Division (PID) at the POM.

The reshuffle is the third major reshuffle of frontline positions made by Comm. Rey Leonardo Guerrero in two months after the reshuffle at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) last month that affected 35 frontline positions thru CPO B-89-2020.

All the reshuffles were approved by Department of Finance (DOF) secretary, Carlos Dominguez.

Pres. Duterte had earlier instructed Guerrero to initiate a reshuffle of key customs posts to help in the fight against corruption by preventing “familiarity” between customs personnel and the transacting public.
