P1.5 million ‘MJ’ seized in Clark

ALERT customs and anti-narcotic officers at the Port of Clark seized a shipment of ‘’Kush Marijuana’ weighing more than 1.16 kilos with an estimated value of P1.5 million from the United States.

District collector Alexandra Lumontad, in a belated report to Bureau of Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, said the seizure occurred last February 22, 2022. The shipment was declared as ‘computer circuit board,’ she added.

She added the illegal drug was found after an exhaustive examination of the package.

Collector Lumontad further bared that acting on her initiative, Guerrero agreed to advise foreign embassies on the details of the shipper of apprehended illegal drugs to further strengthen the BOC’s profiling and drug-interdiction capabilities.
