TWO passengers from Singapore were arrested by alert customs and anti-drug operatives last September 28, 2023 at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after 43.6 kilos of cocaine worth some P76 million were found in their luggage.
Port of NAIA district collector Atty. Yasmin Mapa, in her report to Bureau of Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, said the passengers, who were not named, arrived in the country via Doha, Qatar, on board flight QR-928.
Mapa said a “rigorous” examination of their luggage by the members of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) resulted to the discovery of the illegal drugs.
