P100K reward for swift arrest of Dacera suspects

I cannot ‘stomach’ what they did; suspects should ‘rot’ in jail—Cong. Yap.
ACT-CIS partylist representative and House Appropriations Committee chair, Cong. Eric Go Yap, is offering a cash reward of P100,000 to any person who could help authorities in locating and arresting the remaining suspects in the grizzly rape and murder of flight steward, Christine Angelica Faba Dacera, in the course of a New Year celebration at a hotel in Makati City.

“We shall be giving a reward of P100,000 to anyone who can help locate the whereabouts of the other suspects,” Yap said in a statement issued today, January 5, 2021.

The solon was referring to: ‘Gregorio Angelo de Guzman,’ ‘Louie de Lima,’ ‘Clark Jezreel Rapinan,’ ‘Rey Englis,’ ‘Mark Anthony Rosales,’ ‘Jammyr Cunanan,’ ‘Valentine Rosales,’ ‘Ed Madrid’ and one alias ‘Paul.’

The above persons were among those identified by the Makati Police who were with Dacera at the time of the incident.

Three other suspects were already in police custody and have been charged with ‘rape with homicide’ by the Makati City Police before the local Prosecutor’s Office.

With the arrest of suspects, Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Daluro Galido and John Paul Reyes Halili, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, P/Gen. Debold Sinas, declared the case as ‘solved,’ in his report to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary, Eduardo M. Año.

Other media reports said, Dacera, 23, a flight attendant for Philippine Airlines (PAL) and who hailed from General Santos City, was allowed by her family to welcome the New Year with her ‘friends,’ as they “trusted” them. Their trust, however, proved tragically misplaced.

Staffers of the ‘Grand City Garden’ hotel in Makati City, found Dacera at the suite’s bath tub, unconscious and with indications she had been ‘raped.’

She was rushed to the hospital but was declared ‘DOA’ (dead on arrival).

In offering the reward, Yap said he does not personally know the victim nor her family.

“I cannot ‘stomach’ it; I am revolted by what they (suspects) did,” he told Pinoy Exposé.

Yap also urged the authorities to upgrade the charge sheet to rape with murder (the police said the present case is ‘provisional’ pending the result of the autopsy).

“No person in his right mind can commit such dastardly act and it is only right that you (suspects) pay for what you did, if proven of your participation.

“I hope these suspects are found soon,” Yap added (updated January 7, 2021; 5:11pm).
