SBG: I am not interested to be president; PDU30 ‘just joking’

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go thanked the Filipino public for their trust and support for him and the Duterte Administration following a Pulse Asia survey showing that he and President Rodrigo Duterte is the most preferred tandem in the 2022 polls.

He, however, reiterated that now is not yet the time to talk about politics amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and other crisis situations in the country.

While he is grateful for the trust given to him by the President and the Filipino people, Go repeated that he, together with the rest of the Duterte Administration, continues to remain focused on serving Filipinos in need.

“Uulitin ko lang po: I am very grateful po for the trust given to me by the President.

The senator, who continues to go around the country to help Filipinos in crisis situations, such as fire victims, victims of natural disasters, displaced workers and vulnerable sectors of the pandemic, said that his public service will not be hampered by talks about the coming elections.

Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, during a visit and distribution of assistance to fire victims in Malate, Manila last March 12, 2021, assisting some of the beneficiaries in trying on the new shoes he donated to them. Go also reminded the need for Filipinos to be vigilant against fire hazards as the country observes ‘Fire Prevention’ this month.

Go reiterated that the whole country should work together and focus on recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic as discussions about the upcoming elections can wait.

“Focus muna tayo, serbisyo muna tayo.

Sending a message to all Filipinos, Go asked them to help each other during this time and urged them to continue following health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
