China, an inspiration to the world

China, an inspiration to the world
IF there is anything good and revealing that has come out over Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine last February 24, 2022, it is the fact that US Imperialism’s grip and hegemony in the entire world has started to collapse; its days as an empire to be feared and followed is no more.

First off, its sweeping sanctions against Russia, including the confiscation of its foreign reserves, made the rest of the world realized that not only is anyone no longer safe from Western depredations as they realized that the global financial system the West created is not there to promote global trade and prosperity but that, at the end of the day, it is just another tool to plunder other countries.

Thus, movements across the world are now happening in search of an “alternative” to the West’s financial system (SWIFT) as countries and governments hurry up to protect themselves from the next round of Western plunder.

Too, China has repeatedly stressed that sanctions is not the solution to stop armed aggression; it instead promotes widespread agony, suffering and destabilization thru the ‘de-civilizing’ of targeted countries. Just look at the once prosperous countries of Iraq, Syria and Libya or countries that failed to improve their people’s lives due to sanctions like Cuba, North Korea and now, Afghanistan.

And China too is correct in pointing out that sanctions affect not only the targeted countries but also those doing the sanctions themselves, such as the European countries whose people are now living under the highest record of inflation and jobs and economic losses all because their governments continue to remain as mere puppets of US Imperialism. If they persist in following America’s diktat, we would not be surprised if Europe’s economy plunge into a recession before the year is over.

As for a big country like Russia, which is in a position to fight off Western sanctions, its continued economic stability marked by record economic growth, a stable currency and record export of natural gas and oil, those governments who kowtow to US wishes have now realized that not are sanctions ineffective but that they and their people are left to suffer the consequences, as China has again reminded us.

Second, the West’ narrative versus Russia’s “aggression” against Ukraine made the rest of the world realized the hypocrisy of their propaganda, after realizing that most of the world’s conflicts were started by US Imperialism jointly with its attack dog in Europe, NATO.

All of these interventions, from Africa to Asia to Latin America, were done under the false pretenses of “advancing” or “protecting” either democracy, human rights or both.

Ditto, most people of the world have realized that no one is safe from imperialist aggression and that it can come in various shape and form, from outright invasion to the instigation of ‘regime change,’ of which the latest victim is Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

It has just been a little over two months since Russia entered Ukraine last February 24, and now we are seeing unmistakable signs that US Imperialism’s grip is losing. India has pushed back against the combined might of NATO and US pressure to “unfriend” Russia.

Philippine defense secretary, Delfin Lorenzana, in a surprised move, also heavily criticized the US over its human rights report on the Philippines that he described as without basis and akin to a “witch hunt.”

And despite the fall of Imran Khan, we can see that Pakistan’s anti-imperialist stand is far from over: he might yet stage a comeback in the next few months—unless CIA assassins get to him first.

But the biggest rock standing in the way of US bullying is China, now the one country in the world which has shown that both its government and people have spines behind their back.

China is now the symbol of the world’s poor people standing up against the bullying and hypocrisy of the West and over the latter’s effort to continue dominating the world on the basis of force and deception.

We should all be inspired.
