BBC et al: Human ‘Waste-rn’ Media.

THE Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) that should now better known as “f**ck—up,” highlighted on its FB account the report of the CIA-front tech company ‘Simularity’ on the fake news it described as “shocking revelation of Chinese ships dumping human waste and sewage in the West Philippine Sea.”

Unfortunately for Simularity and its partners like Stratbase and FOCAP, the report has been debunked as a disgraceful and malicious hoax.

Simularity’s co-founder Liz Derr had the stupidity to think that no Filipino would investigate her claim against China (indirectly aimed at Duterte) with a photo she presented to exemplify her point – a photo of a large ship with a huge brown trail of what waste and sewage would look like.

Thanks to Manila Bulletin Tech News and Business Tech editor, Art Samaniego Jr., the photo was found to be a 2014 photo taken in Australia and not in 2021 in the so-called West Philippine Sea.

The photo was actually of a ship doing “maintenance dredging in the Cairns” and to show the “impact of dredging and dumping in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area” taken by WWF (World Wildlife Fund).

Like many in Philippine mainstream media GMA7, (supposedly the most trusted in the country) just reproduced Liz Derr’s photos and circulated in social media angering many netizens but which turned out to be fake, prompting national defense secretary, Delfin Lorenzana, and foreign affairs secretary, Teddy Boy Locsin, to publicly denounce it for what it is— “fake news.”

Liz Derr, Simularity, Stratbase and their respective activities during the past week starting July 12 is all part of a “strategic communications plan” to besmirch Duterte and China in the smashingly successful cooperation of the two countries and the downgrading of the SCS dispute into a small “agree-to-disagree” dispute case.

All the rest of mainstream Western Media (or what I now call here Waste-rn Media) have a role in what would more accurately be described as “strategic disinformation” program against China and independent leaders like Duterte – of which BBC is at the forefront in this country.

The BBC had two operations in this present plan, the first came out July 8, 2021 on BBC News

With BBC reporter Howard Johnson riding shotgun with a small group of Filipino fishingmen entering the Scarborough Lagoon claiming Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) ships were “watching every move” of his boat and could not follow into the inner lagoon as he did because of the shallow reef – and a lot more nonsense which I wrote about and exposed in much detail in an article “BBC parrots Carpio’s galunggong logic, non-stop lies” in ‘sovereignPH.com.’

Let me do a gist of that 1,800 words report of mine:

BBC’s Howard Johnson, wearing a full-face mask reports from a small fishing boat, claims Chinese prevent Filipino fishermen from fishing at Scarborough, that CCG could not follow them due to shallow reef, that trawlers used to abound in the lagoon and has since stopped due to the CCG blockade.

It was all more than BS, it was perfect Human Waste-rn Media crap full of mis-information and dis-information to mislead the Filipino audience, many of whom are too eager to be duped and made a fool of by Waste-rn Media.

I disputed Johnson’s claim about the CCG blockade and Masinloc, Zambales, Mayor Arsenia Lim has since denied publicly that Zambales fishermen are being blocked thereat.

However, the inner lagoon is a fish sanctuary and BBC’s Johnson entering it is a criminal violation, President Duterte announced in 2016 that the area would be declared off limits too. BBC’s Johnson was also grossly ignorant to think that trawl fishing is an innocent operation as it is one of the most damaging fishing methods which the Philippines has banned even in municipal waters.

As all these Waste-rn Media fake news operations are coordinated, the local hire reporter of BBC Virma Rivera followed up the fake news of BBC with presidential spokesman Harry Roque who advised the reporter to call Mayor Lim and fishing boat owners, to get the truth that no such blockade existed:

“In fairness to you, tumawag ka ngayon, I will link you up with them para malinawan kung ano iyang report mo.”

Now, FOCAP says Roque was “condescending” in his response to Virma Rivera who is playing “the victim card” – more Human Waste from BBC.

I did a meme or post of the connection of Simularity to the CIA, indirect links as they are expected to arrange for some degree of cover. I hope my publisher can also print it with this column (it cannot be accommodated as this is the column page. Better turn it into an article—Editor).
