Citizens of the West must wake up; they are supporting the “wrong war”

THE special military operation of Russia in Eastern Ukraine has now entered its seventh month and not surprisingly, the West and their Overlord, US Imperialism, continue to delude themselves of an eventual military defeat of Russia.

Of course, having themselves created this fallacy and fantasy, there is no other recourse for the West but to continue believing that this would be so, what with Ukraine supposedly “regaining” territories early this month that fell to Russia’s hands at the start of the conflict in February and with their puppet president, Volodymr Zelensky, even being shown by the Western media as visiting the “liberated areas.”

Funny that the West, in its strategic desire to eventually partition Russia into “tiny, little states” to enable it to fully exploit the wealth of Russia to prop up its decaying and dying capitalist member-states, now seems hardly paying attention to the important facts and yes, to history.

Let me reiterate some of them: one, if there are any historical lesson to be learned in the last two world wars is that war, ultimately, is a battle of resources, both human and material and, industrial capacity.

How can the West continue to believe that Ukraine can defeat Russia when most of the former’s industrial capacity now lies in ruin and its war-fighting capability now wholly dependent on the arms supplies provided by the West? In the meantime, Russia still has vast reserved of untapped wealth, especially minerals, while its industrial and technological capacity to produce arms of all sorts remain untouched.

Indeed, in this ongoing “proxy war” by the West in Ukraine against Russia, Russia has shown it can take on the entire military might of the capitalist/imperialist West by its own, in the same manner that it has taken on and defeated the military might of the Nazis during World War 2 at a period in time when the combined strength of France and Britain saw their asses being whipped by the Wehrmacht with the fall of Paris and their ignominious defeat in the beaches of Dunkirk.

And ingrates that they are, the West have now forgotten that they “owe” their liberation from Nazism to the sacrifices of the men, women and child of the Soviet Union—and not the United States.

The West seemed also to forget that the last time their greatest conqueror, Napoleon Bonaparte, tried to beat Russia, he got beaten so badly that historians now agree that it was his invasion of Russia that saw the end of his imperial overreach. And yes, the same goes for Hitler too.

The West also seemed to take the Russians and their leader, Pres. Vladimir Putin, as dumb, the way they regard other peoples and other races. Well, in fact, they are only fooling themselves as their own attempts to weaken Russia in all fronts—military, political, financial, economics, are now all clearly backfiring on them.

Seven months into the conflict, Russia’s economy has not collapsed while its battlefield performance is getting better and better. On the other hand, the United States is now in recession while the rest of Europe—Germany, France, Italy and Britain— are expected to follow suit.

If they think that their weaponizing of the global financial system and their economic sanctions would be enough for Russia to raise the white flag of surrender or hasten its descent back to Third World status, they now know they are wholly mistaken.

Russia, after all, is not Iraq. Or Libya. Or Afghanistan. Nay, it is not even Venezuela or
Cuba or North Korea. They have lots of smart and creative people there who take to heart the lessons of history, both in the past and the recent past.

The attempt for political, trade and diplomatic isolation of Russia has failed, with Russia doing brisk business, especially in oil and grain with other countries who have seen enough of the West’s hypocrisy and double standard.

Insofar as these countries are concerned, they are not dumb too not to realize that it is them and their people who would have to suffer and carry the burden of an ongoing conflict on the other side of the world that is of no concern to them should they “obey” the West. Heck, why join in the demonization of Russia when its conflict with Ukraine does not affect their own interest to begin with?

Meanwhile, the blowback from these sanctions has resulted to bankruptcies, closures and diminished bottom lines to many Western businesses, including those in North America.

Through the BRICS, SCO and other bilateral arrangements, Russia’s trade portfolio has actually diversified, ensuring it would have sufficient capital to stop and defeat the West’ continuing aggression against it via Ukraine.

And yes, the ‘Old Winter,’ the “weapon” that helped Russia defeat both Napoleon and Hitler, is now upon Europe and without a drop of Russian gas now flowing westward?

It is said that this year’s winter would be among the “harshest” in recent years in the continent. And while the Russians are cozying up in the comfort of their well-heated homes, citizens of Western Europe would literally freeze to death or wait till hell freezes over, whichever comes first.

Will the people of the West continue to have patience till the war in Ukraine concludes with the last drop of Ukrainian blood? After all, that is where this conflict is headed down the road.

Well, here’s hoping that the bitter the winter cold bites, the faster they realized they are supporting the “wrong war.” The war their governments imposed on Ukraine and Russia.
