Feedback from the Ukraine frontlines

WITH all the US and Western propaganda flying around trying to convince us that Russia is bad and the West is good, I thought I should go get direct information on the ground in Germany to our Filipina-German friend married to a German national.

This was my question: What’s the ‘on-the-ground-view’ among Germans of (German Chancellor Olaf) Scholz’s turning more militant on Ukraine and Russia and defense?

“Mentong, media is bombarding us daily about the evil forces Russia.

“Most Germans don’t buy this. There is awareness of Nato and US provocations that eventually led Putin’s invasion of Ukrania.

“Scholz had no choice after Russian forces marched beyond Donezk and Donbass. He was with Putin in Russia just a few days before the invasion. The German delegation left Moscow with high hopes that Putin will not invade.”

“The West is entirely to be blamed for the chaos in Ukraine. Prognosis… In 2 weeks and Kiev will fall; German industry is not happy with Scholz’s position they too have been hit hard by sanctions imposed.

“Hungary just closed their borders to block transport of military supplies to Ukraine.”

My ending:

“Thanks, good to hear all that. Scholz must have had tremendous pressure put on him.”

Here in the Philippines we congratulate candidates BBM and Sara Duterte for stating that the PHL foreign policy should always stick to its interest and in the present case of Ukraine to stay neutral, save our OFWs there and not to be used as Ukraine is being used now leading to its own people’s suffering.

As for the West touting the Ukrainian former comedian and now president Volodymyr Zelensky as a “hero,” if he were indeed a hero he should have stood up to the U.S. and NATO when they weaponized Ukraine to threaten Russia and shelled East Ukraine’s ethnic Russians for eight years causing 14,000 fatalities.

If “hero” Zelensky said “NO” to the US and NATO, his country would not be in the pitiful state it is in today.

West Ukraine is today in a hopeless situation as this report from The Saker, ethnic-Russian Swiss citizen Andrei Raevsky, former military analyst of the Institute for Disarmament Research whose blog I and 50,000 others have been following since the 2014 Kiev regime change:

“Right now, the entire Western narrative hangs on this kind of nonsense: Russia is about to be totally defeated, the Ukie army and people have won on all fronts, and Ze, backed by NATO, the EU, the US and the entire planet is about to deliver his conditions for a Russian capitulation.

The maps? All fakes. The local reports? All fakes too.

So far, that has worked pretty well. But here are the stone-cold facts about the Ukie military: Air Force: gone, Navy: gone, Long range, standoff capabilities: gone, Air defenses: gone. Regular ground forces: no less than 65 percent (some say up to 80 percent) of the Ukie military is surrounded and condemned.

Assorted Nazi units: I don’t have the figures, but A LOT of them are now either in the Donbass cauldron or in Mariupol. They will mostly not be taken prisoner, except for the leaders who will be tried and sentenced for their innumerable crimes.

So, in terms of the Russian goals, here is how I would score this:

  • Ukrainian disarmament: mostly already done, the Ukraine has nothing to threaten Russia with.
  • Ukrainian denazification: only at the early start, but conditions are excellent and I am confident that most of the hardcore Nazis will soon be dead.

The real magnitude of the Ukrainian defeat will become impossible to conceal in just a few days. Then the narrative will shift from the “invincible Ukie Volkssturm” to “Russian atrocities.

The West gave Russia a bloody nose by forcing her intervention, thereby crushing any chance for the EU to get decolonized in the next decade or more.

The West gave Russia an even bloodier nose by very effectively controlling the narrative.

But what’s next? Russia will/has disarmed and will soon denazify Ukraine, that is a given.

But what after that?  Please remember that this is NOT about the Ukraine, this is about the entire future security architecture of Europe.

I will just say this: while, no, Russia won’t invade the EU or even Poland, the Russian war to push back NATO has only begun, it will last MANY MONTHS so be prepared for this.  MONTHS. Please ready yourself for a long and difficult struggle (http://thesaker.is/one-week-into-the-russian-special.

China has called for meditation and offers its auspices, that’s the best way to go.
