402nd Brigade welcomes new acting commander

The 402nd Infantry “Stingers” Brigade, 4^th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, welcomed Colonel Emil J. Cruz as its new Acting Commander during a Change of Command Ceremony presided by 4ID commander, MGen. Jose Maria Cuerpo II last November 26 held at Camp Romualdo C. Rubi, Bgy. Bancasi, Butuan City.

Colonel Cruz previously served as the brigade’s deputy commander and he is taking over from MGen. Adonis Ariel G. Orio. Major General Orio.

Orio is now the 27th commander of the 8th Infantry (Stormtroopers) Division of the Philippine Army, based in Camp Vicente Lukban, Catbalogan City, Samar, after heading the 402^nd Brigade for more than 3 years.

The 402nd Brigade is responsible for the internal security operation in Northern Mindanao.
