THE Bureau of Customs, Port of Clark, seized approximately 940 grams of high-grade marijuana or kush, with an estimated value of over P1.5 million declared as ‘Baby Walker.’
District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino ‘Dino’ Austria, in a belated report to Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, said the shipment, which arrived last June 10, was held and subjected to closer scrutiny by the Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF) together with the members of the X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The accompanying BOC statement last June 21, however, did not disclose the country of origin nor the name of the shipment’s consignee.
