BOC highlights digital transformation in ‘GovX.0 PH’
THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) under Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, again highlighted the agency’s digital transformation during the ‘GovX.0 Philippines’ assembly attended by various government agencies, industry leaders and technology experts held at the Conrad Hotel from March 18 to March 19.
Deputy Commissioner for Management Information and System Technology, Ronnel Hombre, gave a well-received presentation on ‘Revolutionizing Trade & Industry with the Power of Digital Transformation’ during the high-level event.
“Our mission is clear—integrating cutting-edge technology to ensure a seamless and efficient customs process that benefits traders, businesses, and the public.
“The goal is not just automation but intelligent transformation that strengthens national competitiveness and aligns with global trade standards,” Hombre said.
“The Bureau of Customs is not merely adopting digital solutions—it is setting the standard for smart, data-driven customs operations that enhance efficiency, transparency, and security.
“As we advance our digital transformation, we remain committed to facilitating legitimate trade, securing our borders, and driving economic progress,” the official added.
