PRESIDENTIAL Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez, was among those feted by the National Press Club during its 72nd anniversary celebration held at the NPC’s Bulwagang Plaridel in Manila last October 29.
A veteran and respected broadcast journalist, Chavez is among the most low-key officials in the Marcos administration and is a pillar of support of the NPC and other media organizations over the years.
Founded in 1952, the NPC is one of the oldest but biggest organization of active members of the press. It celebrated its 72nd anniversary this year under the theme, “Powering Through at 72.”
