Assessing ‘comeback kid’ US Pres. Donald Trump

0
PRESIDENT Xi Jinping of China inaugurated the $3.5-billion Chancay Port with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte last November 15, 2024, opening a new, faster, and much more economical trade route between China and Peru but also between Asia and Latin America.

From Peru, Pres. Xi travelled to Brazil for the ‘G20 Summit’ in Rio de Janeiro and one of his earliest messages upon arrival is to call for “more bridges of cooperation” to his fellow world leaders.

Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden, who is also present at the APEC Summits in Indonesia (2022) and San Francisco (2023) made little impact during his appearances and even less so in the G20 meeting hosted by Brazil.

That is, until he announced the earthshaking decision to authorize Ukraine to “use US-supplied longer-range missiles for deeper strikes inside Russia.”

Donald Trump Jr., son of incoming US president, Donald Trump voiced frustration, reacting: “The military industrial complex seems to want to make sure they get World War Three going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives.”

Trump has made clear that he wants out of the Ukraine War, but as we can see, he faces an uphill battle against the US “Deep State” that consists not only of the military-industrial complex (MIC) as Don Trump, Jr. says, but more importantly, it also consists of the Zionist and the donor class financial oligarchy lobby with whom Trump relied on greatly to win past elections.

Is this why Don Trump, Jr. didn’t lump the MIC with the US financial oligarchs, which also have great stakes in Ukraine’s vast mineral and farm wealth?

Trump’s cabinet appointments reveal the absolute predominance of Zionists, pro-Zionists and pro-Israel elements in the line-up: Marco Rubio, Secretary of State; Pet Hegseth, Secretary of Defense; Mike Waltz, National Security Adviser; Elise Stefanik, US Ambassador to the UN; Mike Huckabee, Ambassador to Israel; Steven Witkoff, Special Envoy to the Middle East;  John Ratcliffe, CIA director; Kristi Noem, Homeland Security; even Robert F. Kennedy, Health Secretary, and, Tulsi Gabbard, Director for National Intelligence, have stood up for Zionism.

Trump is giving up Ukraine not because the US has given up on its support but for Russia to seize at its own pace. Trump offers Ukraine to Putin for he has long vowed to separate Russia from the Russia-China partnership and this is his offering.

But for Greater Israel, Trump’s son-in-law is already speculating on the beachfront properties the Israeli Zionists are set to grab from the Gaza Strip. The U.S. military-industrial complex is salivating at the prospect of an Iran-US “forever war.”

While I still believe that the near-death experience of Trump in the first and only real assassination attempt on his life on July 13, 2024, at the Butler Farm Show Grounds in Pennsylvania brought an epiphany for peace and abhorrence of war to his soul, his tug-of-war with real life geopolitical and economic forces is yet to be won.

I am on the side of Trump winning the battle against the devil within himself and his coterie of close-in people, but it won’t help being starry eyed or expect too much from his second term.

Meanwhile, China continues its crusade to build a better, more peaceful and prosperous globe with the rest of the world outside the West, through BRICS, Group of 77, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, FOCAC (for Africa), APEC and a long list of alphabet soup multilateral global cooperation initiatives.

Unfortunately, the Philippines is being left out of all of these as it willingly clings onto the devil’s tail of the USA.
