Our national survival now should be our top priority

MY unsolicited advice to President Marcos Jr., insignificant as we are, is to ask Congress and the Senate to stop their ongoing investigations into a host of issues that many are now seeing as mainly political in nature and intent and not about “justice” or the “truth” or “in aid of legislation.”

In their place, he should immediately convene an emergency meeting so that all our national leaders can reach a consensus and create a ‘National Survival Plan’ aimed at ensuring that we can pass the looming global crisis and catastrophe united as a nation.

I am not an “alarmist,” dear readers, but while our leaders are focused on probing truly “mundane” issues aimed at improving their public image and their chances in the coming elections while not solving the issue of crime, poverty, and national disunity, elsewhere in the world, citizens are worrying about the extinction of our civilization.

I am referring to the crazy pronouncement of US President Joe ‘Dementia Joe’ Biden over the weekend that he has now authorized Ukraine to use its long-range missiles for targets deep inside Russia.

Not surprisingly, America’s NATO puppets, France’s Emmanuel Macron and UK’s Keir Starmer, are jumping with joy like monkeys who have not eaten a banana for a long time, saying their countries too, would now let Ukraine to also use their long-range missiles against Russia.

The day after the announcement was made, Russian President Vladimir Putin immediately convened Russia’s Security Council where they reiterated his warning last September 12, that such authorization to Ukraine would mean that Russia, based on its approved nuclear deterrence doctrine, is now no longer constrained to use its nuclear arsenal to protect Russia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In other words, Russia would be freed in using its “weapons of last resort”— its entire nuclear arsenal, which, by the way, is the LARGEST in the world with over (confirmed) 6,000 missiles.

Putin reminded that any nuclear power country (read: USA, UK, France) helping a non-nuclear country (Ukraine) in attacking Russia and Belarus using their long-range missiles would now be deemed as “direct participants” in the Ukraine War, a fact that is already well-known from the start but which Putin has chosen to “ignore” up to now, seeing that Russia can “handle” NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine using conventional weapons.

The Russians very well know that such missiles (ATACMS, Shadow, Tomahawks, and the likes) can only be operated by “specialists” from NATO countries and not by Ukraine.

In short, NATO and the US can deny to the death they are not “participating” in the attack against Russia but who is going to believe them? Heck, even ordinary people everywhere in the world now know the truth on what President Putin is talking about.

Now, has any of our national leaders been following this terrifying development and thinking what would be its global implications and how the Philippines is to survive a nuclear exchange?

Or are they thinking we are “safe” because this Doomsday War would be “confined” to Europe and North America?

That should this be the case it would allow our lawmakers to continue with their investigations “in aid of legislation?” And that we can all go on attending to our daily, normal lives because “everything is normal?”

While there is still time for us to prepare, let us not waste it, fellow Filipinos. If the government fails to make any preparation now, then we are headed for disaster and most likely, towards a REVOLUTION.
