CPP’s ‘Operation Delta’ targets NTF-ELCAC ‘talking heads’
Parents opposed to CPP youth recruitment targeted for ‘demonization’
THE Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) thru its ‘National United Front Commission’ (NUFC) has initiated ‘Operation Delta’ that seeks to gather information and intelligence on all spokespersons of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), which can then be the basis for operational action by the CPP’s murder squad, the Special Operations Group of the New People’s Army (SOG-NPA).
The NUFC can be equated with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) whose top leaders are also members of the party’s central and executive committees. It is charged with the creation and operation of all the party’s legal front organizations.
According to highly-placed sources in the intelligence community, the NUFC, in a meeting held somewhere in Quezon City last June 18, 2021, has also directed all its front organizations to gather—even “manufacture”—information and reports to boost the CPP’s ongoing effort to convince the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the Philippine government and Pres. Duterte on the issue of gross human rights violations and ‘crimes against humanity.’
Principally tasked to act as the ‘Secretariat’ that would collate and organized the information gathered would be ‘Karapatan,’ which has long been accused by the government as just another front organization directly created by the CPP thru the NUFC.
This accusation has gained credence after the surrender to the government last April 5, 2021, of Genelyn ‘Gemma’ Dichoso, 52, the erstwhile Karapatan secretary general for Quezon province.
In a tears-laden, 10-minute video interview she had with Southern Luzon (Solcom) area commander, Lt. General Antonio ‘Jun’ Parlade last April 15, 2021, Dichoso was visibly full of remorse for the course she had taken and now express worry as to the fate of those she had organized to join the CPP-NPA’s “armed struggle” to bring down the government (‘Karapatan confirmed as another CPP-NPA front,’ Pinoy Exposé report, April 26, 2021).
Aside from particularly targeting Parlade under Oplan Delta, the NUFC, the report also said, directed all the party’s legal front organization to target for “demonization” thru various propaganda activities all the non-government and civil organizations that have sprung up to condemn and oppose the massive recruitment of CPP front organizations of students and the youth sector.
These include the ‘League of Parents of the Philippines,’ ‘Yakap ng Magulang,’ ‘Hands-Off Our Children’ and, ‘Sambayanan.’
