11TH BOC ‘Customer Care Center’ opens in Iloilo
THE Bureau of Customs on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, inagurated another ‘Customer Care Center’ (CCC) at the Port of Iloilo, coinciding with its 165th anniversary.
The newly established facility serves as a one-stop shop for answering queries and concerns, processing and releasing of regulatory documents and payment of customs duties, taxes, fees and other charges, among others.
Manned by professional and trained Customs Service Officers, stakeholders can easily and expeditiously finish transactions with the port through this service center, which is the 11TH CCC to be inagurated by the bureau.
Other CCC that opened were those at the following ports: Manila, Legaspi, Batangas, Surigao, Subic, Zamboanga, Clark, Davao, San Fernando and, Limay.
District Collector Noli P. Santua, Jr. together with the division chiefs of the Port spearheaded the ceremony.
In his message, he recognized Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, Deputy Commissioner Donato B. San Juan, PIAD Chief – Bienvenido R. Datuin and, the Port of Iloilo personnel who worked hard to make the project into reality.
The inaugural opening was followed by the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to the Top 10 Importers of the Port of Iloilo for the 1st Semester of 2020, and Certificates of Commendation to all port’s personnel for their exemplary performance in exceeding the target for the months of March and May 2020.
As part of the ’10-Point Priority Programs’ of Guerrero, the bureau expects to complete the establishment of the CCC in the remaining ports of Tacloban, Cebu, Aparri, CDO, MICP and NAIA, before the end of the year.
