‘Love, Care and Gift-giving 2022’ at the National Press Club

NATIONAL Press Club of the Philippines (NPC) President Lydia Bueno and Manila Police District (MPD) director, P/BGen. Andre Dizon (center) posed for posterity with the officers of Filipino Chinese groups during a charity operation at the NPC compound in Intramuros, Manila, dubbed, ‘Love. Care and Gift-giving 2022’ held last Saturday, December 3, 2022.

More than 500 indigent residents from the Intramuros area and in Baseco, were each given a gift pack consisting of 5-kilos of rice, sardines, noodles, multi-vitamins, prepared meal with egg and face masks.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and up to last year, the NPC also initiated a feeding program that provided hot meals and boxed lunches to some 7,000 indigent residents in Intramuros and Tondo.

Participating during Saturday’s event are, Pasay City Host Lions Club (PCHLC), Philippine Fujian General Business Club (PFGBC), Filipino Chinese Journalists Amity Club (FCJAC) and the MPD under Gen. Dizon (photo credit: Gina Mape).
