‘Go-Duterte’ for 2022

THERE is no stopping them now.

With President Rodrigo Duterte “agreeing” to run for vice president in the 2022 national elections, Sen. Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go, has no choice now but to honor his word to run for president on the condition that Pres. Duterte would be his running mate.

Duterte had agreed to accept a day before, August 23, 2021, the earlier endorsement for him by their faction to run as vice president.

The ‘Go-Duterte’ tandem was adopted by the faction during its meeting last August 5, 2021, the same day the Commission on Elections (Comelec) received its submission of ‘SIUS’ (‘Sworn Information Update Statement,’ SIUS), that list the names of the new party officials.

Right after, Go issued a statement saying that while he was greatly honored by his partymates’ decision, he would only agree to run for president if Duterte would agree to be his running mate.
