Peter Joemel Advincula, aka, ‘Bikoy,’ the man that Sen. Antonio Trillanes and the Liberal Party (LP) used in 2019 to destroy the reputation of the family of Pres. Duterte and Sen. Christopher ‘Bong’ Go by linking them to the country’s illegal drug trade, is back in jail, this time for the murder of 3 people in Daraga, Albay, Bicol region, last November 11, 2021.

From various mainstream media reports, Lt. Colonel Bogard Arao, Daraga chief of police, said that Advincula was positively identified by one of his would-be victims after managing to escape from him.

The police chief added that Advincula had already confessed to the crime and further claimed he did the killings all by himself.

“We encouraged him to tell us the names of those who could be behind him in killing the three victims. But he told us he did it alone,” said Arao, as quoted by the Philippine Star last November 13, 2021, two days after the incident.

“The positive identification of Bikoy by the survivor is enough to pin him down for three counts of murder,” the police official added.

Councilor Helen Garay, 53; businesswoman Karen Averilla, 44, and businessman Xavier Mirasol, 61, were found dead in Advincula’s rented unit in a building in Barangay Busay in Daraga, Albay on Thursday.

Garay was running for vice mayor while Averilla and Mirasol were eyeing seats in the town council in Donsol, Sorsogon.

The three, other mainstream media reports said, had been lured to a meeting by Advincula, claiming he would be able to introduce them to former senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong/BBM’ Marcos.

The companion of the victims, Lalaine Amor, who managed to escape, pointed to Advincula as the person who invited Garay, Averilla and Mirasol to a meeting before they were found dead.

Amor actually met Advincula at the Daraga police station after Advincula showed up to claim that there were three dead bodies in the rented unit he and his common-law partner, Agnes Abo, had rented in order to sell used clothing (“ukay-ukay”) an illegal product.

The police said they are eyeing politics as motive since Abo is also running for mayor of Donsol as an independent candidate.

After being fully discredited as ‘Bikoy’ in the ‘Ang Totoong Narco List’ that was concocted by the camp of Trillanes and the LP, Advincula subsequently recanted with the assistance of Atty. Larry Gadon.

The propaganda video was concocted by the opposition in a failed attempt to influence the result of the 2019 senatorial elections.

Trillanes and the rest of the LP candidates in that election were wiped out, however, with Go even ending up in third place after Sen. Cynthia Villar and Sen. Grace Poe, with a vote of more than 20.6 million.
