24 suspects in Absalon murders, named, charged

Families and friends of Kieth and Nolvin Absalon who were murdered by the CPP-NPA in Masbate province last June 6, 2021, bid them goodbye for the last time during their burial ceremony last June 13, 2021. They also demand justice for the victims and condemned the continuing terrorism in the island perpetrated by the communist group (ctto).

FIRMLY rejecting the apology and offer of indemnity by the Communist Party of the Philippines over the cold-blooded murder of Kieth and Nolven Absalon and the attempted murder of the latter’s 16-years old son in Masbate province last June 6, 2021, the Absalon family has filed a case for murder, frustrated murder and violation of RA 9851 against the members of the New People’s Army (NPA) who are behind the dastardly crime.

RA 9851 is the law against violations of international humanitarian law, genocide and other crimes against humanity. It was enacted by Congress in 2009 to comply with the country’s international treaties and in order to abide by the Rome Statute that created the International Criminal Court.

In a complaint filed before the Prosecutor’s Office of Masbate City last June 18, 2021, Kieth’s mother, Vilma, Nolvin’s wife, Cristine, along with Masbate City police director, P/Lt. Colonel Steve Nuñez dela Rosa, filed the cases against the following terrorists-suspects:

Capitalio ‘M-1’ Mallo, Bgy. Bugtong Mandaon; Diolito ‘Michael/Uno’ Ochoco Medina; Arlene ‘Rance’ Salazar, Bgy. Sta. Maria, Mobo; Lloyd Mores Escorel, Bgy. Calumpang, Cawayan, Masbate City;
