China – Philippines $25 billion projects roll on

ONE of the major China-funded projects is the P175-billion ($ 3.5-billion) PNR South Long Haul Project aka PNR Bicol or Bicol Express to stretch 639-kilometer connecting Manila to Legazpi, Matnog, Sorsogon and Batangas City cutting travel time from 12 down to six hours for both passengers and cargo.

Last June 2021 the DOTC already called for bids for the detailed design and construction contract. Full operability of the project is expected by 2025.

The US sees China’s rise as a threat and Biden has touted his “Build, Back, Better” (BBB) as a response to China’s massive Belt and Road initiative (BRI) of infrastructure loans and projects for the Third World.

The US simply can’t compete and so it resorts to slander against China; last April the US budgeted an additional $ 300-Million for media to “counter China’s influence” and the result is heightened anti-China propaganda campaigns around the world, especially in Africa.

Last Sept. 21, 2021 the Zimbabwe Herald headlined the US Embassy’s $1,000 “per anti-China story” scandal.

The US Embassy in Zimbabwe is openly bribing Zimbabwean journalists and papers. The ADRI Stratbase of Amboys Albert del Rosario, Dindo Manhit, et al, are also beneficiaries of this manna from heaven, and showering down on InfraWatch NGO of Terry Ridon now.

Well, it’s a living and might as well scoop some of the US dollar up – even in exchange for betrayal of the Filipinos’ welfare and progress.

Business World is, of course, controlled by Manny Pangilinan who is the other half to Negroponte in the US-Philippine Council and the paper is part of the Pangilinan media-presstitute network.

Pangilinan is one of the patrons of Rappler and Maria Ressa – recipient of the West’s “Nobel ‘Please’ Prize” for the total satisfaction of the treasonous work of the “ugly American” journalist who lambasts the real idol of global journalism – Julian Assange.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Manila just continues its monitoring of China-funded projects to ensure commissioning and completion.

They just opened the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge last month, in first quarter of 2022 it will be the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, and countless more to come.

The next president without doubt will work with China, as even the US is already starting its slow embrace of the inevitable.
